Dine-and-Dash, Aggravated DUI, Theft: Police Blotter

Oak Park police report arrests, June 6-10, including a man who peed behind his car during a traffic stop and a home nurse accused of stealing from a resident.

MONDAY, JUNE 10

Dine-and-Dash at TGI Fridays

Police charged Sheneice Maddox, 19, of Chicago with theft of services around 12:15 a.m. in the 400 block of North Harlem Avenue. Police said Maddox left T.G.I.Fridays without paying her $46 bill, then gave police a false name and birthday when they asked her about it. She was given a July 22 court date and released on bond.

DUI

Police charged Ronald Sterling, 63, of Chicago with driving under the influence and driving with an expired registration around 1:40 a.m. in the 1100 block of Madison Street. Sterling told police he needed to pee during the stop and started to do so behind the car, police said. He was given a July 8 court date and released on bond.

Theft

Police charged Craig Young, 54, of the 500 block of South Cuyler Avenue in Oak Park with felony theft around midnight. Young was arrested after officer saw him drop a 12-foot section of a copper downspout, worth about $1,000, which he’d stolen from a home in the 100 block of South Kenilworth Avenue, police said. He was processed and held for bond hearings.

Warrant: Suspended License

Police charged Shawn Cowan, 23, of Chicago with a Will County warrant for driving on a suspended license around 12:40 a.m. in the 400 block of North Harlem Avenue. He was processed and held for Will County, police said.

Felony Theft, Drugs

Police charged Michael Fisher, 42, of Chicago with felony theft, theft and marijuana possession around 1:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Garfield Avenue. He was processed and held for bond hearings.

Battery

Police charged Ian Scott-Stone, 29, of the 200 block of South Marion Avenue in Oak Park after he allegedly punched someone in the head around 11 a.m. in the 900 block of Lake Street. He was processed and released after posting bond.

SUNDAY, JUNE 9

Man Arrested for Stealing Candy

Police charged Quentin Johnson, 18, of Chicago with retail theft around 2:20 p.m. at Dominick’s, 259 Lake St. Police said Johnson was arrested after he stole about $9 in candy. He was processed and held in lieu of bond.

Aggravated DUI

Police charged Frederick Ward, 48, of Chicago with aggravated driving under the influence around 3:30 a.m. in the 500 block of South Ridgeland Avenue. He was processed and held for bond hearings.

SATURDAY, JUNE 8

Retail Theft: Body Wash and Batteries Stolen

Police charged John Lynch III, 40, of Chicago with felony retail theft around 1:10 p.m. at Dominick’s, 259 Lake St. Police said the store’s security saw Lynch leave the store without paying for $220 in body wash, batteries and deodorant. He was charged and held for bond hearing.

FRIDAY, JUNE 7

Solicitation

Michelle Auriemma, 26, of Melrose Park was arrested for soliciting in the roadway around 12:45 p.m. near the intersection of North and Harlem avenues. Police stopped Auriemma while she was begging for money in the street without a permit, police said. She was charged and released on bond.

Felony Retail Theft: Champagne

Police charged Michael Armstrong, 45, of Calumet City with felony retail theft around 4:40 p.m. at Dominick’s, 259 Lake St. A store employee told police Armstrong put a bottle of champagne, worth about $59, under his clothes and left without paying, police said.. He was charged and held for bond hearings. 

THURSDAY, JUNE 6

Home Nurse Charged With Stealing From Resident

A resident in the 200 block of West Lake Street reported Kristen Locke, 22, of Maywood had stolen $40 and used their debit card to withdraw $80 without permission when she was working as their home healthcare nurse. Locke was arrested at the Oak Park Police Department at 8:50 p.m. and released on bond.
