Elf on the Shelf Theft

Someone stole a FedEx package containing an Elf on the Shelf toy and an Elf on the Shelf book from a home in the 1000 block of Thatcher Avenue around between about 5:30 and 6:10 p.m. The total estimated loss is $45, police sad.

Dominican Student Charged With Marijuana Possession, Intent to Deliver

Police charged Bernadino Melendez, 18, of the 700 block of North Taylor Street in Oak Park, with marijuana possession after police found 15 grams of marijuana packaged for sale, a digital scale and 200 empty baggies in his dorm room at Dominican University around 12:15 a.m. He was charged with felony unlawful intent to deliver cannabis, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Man Steals 11 Bottles of Liquor

Security footage at Jewel, 7525 W. Lake St., showed a man stealing 11 bottles of liquor around 3 p.m. The total estimated loss is $375, police said.
