Someone broke the glass door of a business in the 6100 block of Roosevelt Road sometime between 7 p.m. May 30 and 12:20 a.m. May 31. The total damage estimate is $500, police said.

Rooftop Walker Damages Cars

A resident in the 1000 block of Lyman Avenue told police he saw a man who looked about 19 walking on car roofs between about 7 p.m. May 29 and 3 a.m. May 30. The caller said he also saw a girl who looked about 17 with the guy and heard her saying "let's go," police said. The total damage estimate is $1,000, police said. 

Laptop Stolen From Car

Someone broke into an unlocked car in the 700 block of Lake Street between 2 and 7 p.m. and stole a Mac laptop worth about $1,200.

DUI—Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia 

Police charged James Lowright, 41, of Rolling Meadows with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of Madison Street around 11 a.m. Police said they found Lowright backed against a guardrail, and a needle and two bags containing white powder in his cup holder. Police said they believed the powder was heroin. He was processed and released after posting bond. 

Stolen Truck Found

A Dodge truck that was reported stolen in the 800 block of South Maple Avenue on May 29 was recovered in the 200 block of Cicero Avenue around 7 p.m.

Bike Theft

Someone broke into a garage in the 700 block of Lyman Avenue between 9 and 11 a.m. and stole a $100 men's bike.
