Man Turns Himself in for Liquor TheftPolice charged Jeffrey Frazier, 42, of Chicago, with retail theft after he stole seven bottles of liquor from Jewel, 7525 W. Lake St. on Jan. 12. Police said Frazier turned himself in to police around 7:20 p.m. Jan. 16.

Someone stole a $2,300 laptop from a car parked in the River Forest Town Center parking lot around 10:20 a.m.
Men Try to Use Fake IDs to Exchange Gift Cards for Cash
Police charged Sebastian Sawala, 28, and William Bucaro, 29, both of Elk Grove Village, with felony possession of fake identification after they gave "altered" Illinois IDs in an attempt to exchange gift cards for cash at Jewel, 7525 W. Lake St., around 6:40 p.m.Sunday, January 12
Warrant, Resisting, ObstructingPolice charged Rudy Funes, 27, of Bensenville, with a warrant out of DuPage County for driving under the influence of alcohol, obstructing identification and resisting arrest after a hit and run accident near the intersection of Harlem Avenue and Lake Street around midnight. Police said Funes, the passenger in the vehicle, tried to run from the scene and was taken into custody after he resisted arrest and provided false information to police. The driver of the vehicle was transferred to Oak Park police for further investigation, police said.
