Oak Parker Tagged with Graffiti Charge

As many as 20 other incidents may be linked to Dillon Mountain.

Editor's note: We found this Flickr page displaying a handful of photos with the NBS Fate tag. In at least one of the photos, the tag is scrawled on a sign in Oak Park, at the Madison Highlands development.

Police in think they've found the person who has been writing "NBS FATE" with a black paint marker over traffic control boxes and utility poles throughout the village, authorities said.

Dillon Mountain, 20, of Oak Park, was charged Oct. 12 with one count of criminal defacement of property but police believe he also may be linked to as many as 20 similar incidents of graffiti since January.

Mountain was picked up by Triton Community College Police in the 2000 block of North Fifth Avenue in River Grove, and turned over to Oak Park.

A break in the case may have been the outstanding warrant Chicago Police filed against Mountain, who used the same “tag” in the city, police said.
