Four Nabbed in Heroin Sting
Undercover investigation results in arrest of four Chicago men suspected of West Side heroin dealing.
Four Chicago men have been arrested on felony drug charges after a seven-month undercover operation on the city's West Side, authorities said.
Arrested were Raynell Davis, 24, of the 1300 block South Tripp Avenue, Demarcus Moore, 27, of the first block North Waller Avenue, Colran D. Bates, 26, of the first block North Parkside Avenue and Darrell Lipscomb, 49, of the 1100 block of South Sacramento Avenue.
Authorities say three of the suspects — Davis, Moore and Bates — had been ID'd by investigators with the. Members of the West Suburban Enhanced Directed Gang Enforcement (WEDGE) task force bought heroin from the trio 15 times, police said. Those purchases ranged from two grams to 22 grams of heroin. Davis, Moore and Bates were arrested Thursday.

Lipscomb was later found with "more than separate foil packets containing nearly 74 grams of heroin," police said in a news release.
All four men were charged with Calculated Criminal Drug Conspiracy, a Class X felony.
