Wednesday, June 5

Electronics Stolen in Home Burglary

Someone broke a glass door to get into a home in the 500 block of South Cuyler Avenue and stole a 32-inch TV, a DVD player, a Toshiba Netbook and a Google Play entertainment box between 9:30 a.m. June 4 and 10:20 p.m. June 5. The estimated loss is $730, police said. 

Backpack, Cell Phone and Calculator Stolen

Someone stole a backpack containing a cell phone, glasses and a calculator from underneath the owner's chair—while she was sitting there—between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Lake Street. The estimated loss is $880, police said. 

Bike Thefts

  • Someone stole a blue bike from a rack in the 1000 block of South Lombard Avenue between 7:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. The estimated loss is $160, police said. 
  • Someone stole a $150 girl's bike between 11 p.m. June 4 and 8 a.m. June 5 in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard.

Car Damage

Someone punctured a tail light and scratched the hood of an Acura parked in the 400 block of South Austin Avenue between noon June 3 and 8 a.m. June 5. The estimated cost of damage is $1,200, police said.

Tuesday, June 4

iPhone Taken in Rehm Park

Someone stole an iPhone 5 left on the ground between 7:15 and 8:15 p.m. in Rehm Park. The estimated loss is $599, police said. 

Sunday, June 2

Window Shattered

Someone used a BB gun or something similar to shatter a window of a car in the 700  block of Garfield Street between 6 and 11:50 p.m. The estimated cost of damage is $500, police said.

Saturday, June 1

Bike Theft

Someone stole a $525 bike from a home in the 800 block of South Cuyler Avenue between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
