Juveniles Attack Man on Lake Street

A male reported battery after three male juveniles confronted him in the 800 block of Lake Street and one of them struck him in the face around 4:15 p.m. The three males fled east on Ontario Street, police said. 

$7,500 in Jewelry Stolen in Burglary

Someone used a pry tool to break into a home in the 1100 block of South Ridgeland Avenue between 7:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. The intruder ransacked the master bedroom and stole about $7,500 worth of jewelry, police said. 

Retail Theft Arrests at Old Navy

Police charged Iesha Parker, 24, and Kiera Bell, 22, of Chicago, with retail theft at Old Navy around 8:15 p.m. 

Driving Without a License

Police charged Samuel Fuentes, 40, of Cicero, with driving without a license and a traffic warrant during a traffic stop in the 500 block of Fair Oaks Avenue around 1:10 p.m. 

Window Broken

Someone broke a glass window pane on the front door of a building in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue between noon and 3 p.m. The estimated cost of damage is $100, police said.

Man Sleeping At the Wheel Arrested for Open Alcohol

Forest Park police charged Jermaine French, 33, of Forest Park, with driving without a license or insurance and open alcohol during a traffic stop in the 800 block of Ferdinand Avenue around 9 a.m. Police said French was parked in the running car, and asleep behind the wheel. French told police he had ben drinking and fell asleep. He was given a Feb. 18 court date. 

Man Steals Jacket, Vacuum From Wal Mart

Forest Park police charged Frankie Rogers, 33, of Cicero, with retail theft at Wal Mart, 1300 Des Plaines Ave., after he stole a jacket and a Hoover vacuum around 3:40 p.m. He was processed on a felony count of retail theft, given a Dec. 26 court date and held on bond. 

Car Part Stolen

Someone stole the catalytic converter from a 2008 Honda parked in the 100 block of Erie Court between 1:15 and 3 p.m. The total estimated loss is $722, police said. 

Juvenile Charged With Theft

Police charged a juvenile Oak Park resident with a Dec. 1 theft in the 100 block of South Austin Boulevard.

Girl, Charged With Battery at Wal Mart

A 14-year-old girl was charged with battery after she fought a police officer during a retail theft at Wal Mart, 1300 Des Plaines Ave., around 7:45 p.m. Police said the girl had stolen about $388 in merchandise from the store. She started yelling and trying to pull away when police arrested her. She was processed and will be petitioned to juvenile court, police said.
