Someone attempted to enter a home in the 100 block of Ontario at midnight Dec. 24 by applying force to the rear door. The door frame sustained $100 in damages.
Theft
Someone stole a UPS package with kids toys inside from a front porch in the 500 block of Belleforte between 3 and 4:45 p.m. Dec. 23. Estimated loss is $70.
Residential burglary
Someone entered a home in the 1200 block of N. Austin between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dec. 21 by breaking the front door lock and stole an iPad Mini. Loss is estimated at $550.

Domestic battery
Daniel W. Fitzgerald, 40, of Oak Park, was arrested Dec. 24 for domestic battery and endangering the life or health of a child.
Criminal damage to property
Someone used a rock to break the front door window of a residence in the 500 block of S. Harvey between 10 p.m. Dec. 24 and 7 a.m. Dec. 25. Damage is set at $150.
