Oak Park police reports, Aug. 8-12

MONDAY, AUGUST 12

TV, Gaming Systems Stolen in Burglary

Someone stole a TV, two gaming systems, two skateboards and jewelry from a home in the 900 block of South Boulevard between 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. Police said the intruder entered the home through an open window. The total estimated loss is $1,480, police said.

Tires Slashed

Someone slashed two tires of a Chrysler parked in the lot in the 1000 block of Susan Collins Lane between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 11 and 7:45 a.m. Aug. 12. The estimated loss is $200, police said. 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 10

Knife Pulled in Robbery at Gas Station

A man threatened a Chicago resident with a kitchen knife while robbing him at a gas station just after 6 p.m. Police said the man, who had a tattoo on the left side of his neck, reached through the victim's open car window at a BP station in the 500 block of Austin Boulevard, stole a $100 bill from their hands and ran into Columbus Park. The total estimated loss is $100, police said.

Sandals Stolen From Mailbox

Someone stole sandals from a mailbox between 4 and 4:30 p.m. in the 500 block of North Ridgeland Avenue. The total estimated loss is $40, police said.

Laptop Stolen

Someone stole a Macbook laptop and its case from a table in the 1100 block of Lake Street between 3:30 and 5:45 p.m. The total estimated loss is $1,600, police said.
