Man Attempts to Abduct Teen Girl in Oak Park

Police reported that a 70- to 75-year-old man yelled "get in my car" to the 14-year-old girl.

A man attempted abducting a 14-year-old girl in Oak Park last week but drove away when she said no, police reported Wednesday.

The incident happened at about 3:30 p.m. April 26 in the 800 block of Division. Police said the man honked at the Oak Park girl and waved to her, then passed a second time and yelled, "get into my car."

He drove southbound on Oak Park Avenue after the girl said no.

Police described the man as white, bald, between 70 and 75 with a wrinkled complexion and a "sloped" nose. He was wearing a tan jacket and drove a tan four-door car.
