Tools Stolen in Garage Burglary

Someone stole a garage door opener, a weed whacker, a leaf blower, an edger, a hedge trimmer and a hedger from an open garage in the 1400 block of North Austin Boulevard between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The total estimated loss is $550, police said. 

iPhone Stolen at OPRF

Someone stole an iPhone from an unattended bag at Oak Park and River Forest High School between 11:40 a.m. and 12:25 p.m. The total estimated loss is $300, police said. 

Monday, November 4

Man Beaten, Robbed on Austin

Two men in dark hoodies approached a Chicago male from behind in the 1500 block of North Austin Boulevard and started to batter him with their hands and feet about 9:40 p.m. The offenders stole the man's phone, keys and $40 and fled east across Austin. The total estimated loss is $90, police said. 

Chairs Stolen From Yard

Someone stole three brown metal chairs from a yard in the 500 block of South Elmwood Avenue between 8 p.m Nov. 3 and 7 a.m. Nov. 4. The total estimated loss is $200, police said. 

Bike, Cat Food Stolen From Garage

Someone stole a bike, a CD player, cat food, two toilet tissues, two Ziploc freezer bags and bounty paper towels from an unlocked garage in the 500 block of Lyman Avenue between 6 p.m. Nov. 1 and 10 p.m. Nov. 4. The total estimated loss is $501, police said.
