Hosting an Underage Party
Police responded to a call reporting a possible teen party in the 7600 block of Vine Street in River Forest around 11:40 p.m., where officers could smell marijuana in the air and saw about 20 to 30 teens, some of whom admitted they'd been drinking, police said. Police arrested a 16-year-old male from Oak Park who was seen throwing eggs at cars near the intersection of Harlem and Chicago avenues in the early morning hours of June 11. Police said after a quick foot chase, the kid admitted he'd been drinking and was throwing eggs. He was cited for underage drinking, disorderly conduct and a curfew violation, police said.Retail Theft, Drug Paraphernalia
Police charged Maurice Lampkin, 50, of Chicago and Yvette Smith, 43, of Chicago, with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia at Walgreens, 7521 Lake Street, after a store manager reported they'd stolen about $34 in merchandise. Lampkin, who had brass knuckles on him, was also charged with illegal possession or use of a weapon by a felon, police said.MONDAY, JUNE 10
Residential Burglary
Someone broke into a home in the 300 block of Forest Avenue sometime between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and rummaged through every room of the home, police said.
