MONDAY, DEC. 24

Man Wouldn't Leave McDonald's

Fernando Guardado, 54, of Berwyn was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass to property and resisting a police officer after he refused to leave McDonald's, 624 Harlem Ave., and resisted efforts to take him into custody, police said. Routine checks also revealed that Guardado was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Cook County for driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Possession of Controlled Substance

Jonathan White, 25, of Chicago was charged with two counts of felony possession/delivery of a controlled substance when two clear plastic bags containing a white powder were found inside his car by the K-9 unit of the Forest Park Police Department, police said.

Police said an officer on patrol in the 7200 block of Lake Street approached a car in right-turn lane at Town Center with its alarm sounding and noted a strong odor of burnt cannabis coming from inside. The man in the front seat, later identified as White, said the car belonged to a relative and that he stopped when the alarm began to sound in oder to fix the problem.

Police found two clear plastic bags containing baggies that each contained a white powder that tested positive for heroin, totaling 13 grams in 26 small baggies. A female passenger in the back seat was released without charge, police said.

Warrant Arrest

Randy J. McKenzie, 46, of Chicago was arrested on two outstanding warrants - one from North Riverside for retail theft and the second from Wilmette for assault, police said. He was apprehended in the 7200 block of Lake Street.

FRIDAY, DEC. 21

Burglary to Garage

An antique fabric-covered chair was stolen sometime between Nov. 19 and Dec. 19 from the garage of a home in the 1500 block of Clinton Avenue. Estimated loss was $1,200.
