Man Flashes Air Soft Pistol, Steals Cash from Register: Police Blotter

Oak Park police reports, April 29 to May 12.

SUNDAY, MAY 12

Aggravated Robbery

Stanley L. Donahue, 28, of the 9000 block of S. Brandon St., went into a store on the 500 block of Lake St. and after pulling out an air soft pistol, stole money out of the cash register. He was charged and arrested with aggravated robbery.

Retail Theft

Frank M. Moorhe, 38, or the 500 block of N. Central Ave., was charged and arrested for felony retail theft at about 9 a.m. at the 200 block of Lake St.

FRIDAY, MAY 10

Drug Arrest

Nora M. Gutekanst-Barlett, 18, of the 100 block of S. Elmwood Ave. was charged and arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at about 2:15 p.m. near the 200 block of N. Scoville Ave. She was released after posting bond.

Saw Theft

Linell Harding, 53, of the 5400 block of Van Buren St., was charged and arrested for stealing a Miter saw which was reported stolen on March 20, 2013 from the 1100 block of S. Lyman Ave.

Attempted Theft

Someone broke into a car parked on the 1200 block of Rossell Ave. between 6:45 p.m. on May 10 and 5:30 a.m. on May 11 and tried to steal the car by peeling off the steering column.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 8

Car Burglary

Someone shattered the window of a car in the 100 block of Pleasant and stole $20 cash. 

MONDAY, MAY 6

Property Damage

A second-story window in the 300 block of Forest was broken, causing $60 in damage. 

License Plate Stolen

Someone stole a license plate from a car parked in the 1000 block of Washington. 

iPhone Stolen

A white iPhone 4S was stolen from an unattended bag in a locker room at Oak Park-River Forest High School. The estimated loss is $300. 

SUNDAY, MAY 5

License Plates Stolen

A Connecticut license plate was stolen from a car parked in the 300 block of N. Grove. Another plate, this one from Missouri, was taken from a car in the 400 block of N. Grove. The loss for each was $26. An Illinois plate was stolen from a car in the 300 block of N. Grove. The loss was $20. 

MONDAY, APRIL 29

Child Hit by Car

Nancy Canete-Timmerman, 42, of the 600 block of Lake St. was arrested and charged for failure to give aid or information after she hit a child with her car. Canete-Timmerman was released on bond. A court date has been set.

Stolen Car

Two people stole a white 1995 Chrysler Concord after the owner of the car had picked them up to give them a ride. They stopped at a gas station on the 200 block of Madison St., and when the owner got out of the car, the offenders drove off. One of the offenders, who went by the name of ‘Lynn,’ is described as a black female, 22 to 35 years old, 5 foot 8 inches tall and was last seen wearing a Rocawear jacket. The other offender is described as a black male, 30 to 35 years old and approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall. Losses are estimated at $1,700.
