Man Follows Woman, Tries to Whisper in Her Ear: Police
Also in recent River Forest police reports: Felony DUI and a Dominican University security officer who was hit by a car. The driver was found in possession of 7.6 grams of marijuana.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 14
DUI
Police charged Daniela Correa, 20, of Chicago, with driving under the influence of alcohol about 1:30 a.m. Police stopped Correa for several traffic violations in the 7800 block of Division Street. Her blood alcohol content was .192, police said.

Dominican Security Officer Hit by Car
A 20-year-old Broadview man was charged with battery and drug possession after he allegedly hit a school security officer with his car at Dominican University.
Police responded to a call reporting narcotics activity at the school's Priory Campus parking lot in the 7200 block of Division Street about 12:30 a.m.

Police found and arrested Philip Jones, 20, near the intersection of Division and Harlem. Police said he had 7.6 grams of marijuana, a glass pipe and a grinder. He was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, battery and several traffic offenses.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12
DUI
Dennis Hicks, 55, of Bellwood, was arrested for DUI after a minor accident at the intersection of North and Harlem avenues about 12:45 a.m. He was charged with DUI, Illegal Transportation of Open Liquor, and other traffic offenses.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11
Man Follows Woman, Tries to Whisper in Her Ear
Hermant Patel, 21, of West Chicago, was arrested for disorderly conduct after he allegedly followed a female pedestrian from her place of work in Oak Park and attempted to whisper into her ear near the intersection of Lake Street and Harlem Avenue about 1:50 a.m.
Police said the woman became scared and ran into the street, and flagged down a cab for help, after the offender followed and approached her.
Patel was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10
Retail Theft
Police charged Malinda Briggity-Reed, 59, of Maywood, with retail theft after she allegedly stole $46 in cologne and candles from Dominick's, 7501 W. North Ave., about 2:30 p.m.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9
Felony DUI
Police charged Terrence Trull, 28, of the 400 block of South Taylor Avenue in Oak Park, with felony DUI during a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Harlem Avenue about 12:15 a.m. Police said Trull, who did not have a valid license or proof of insurance, had a blood alcohol content of .151.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8
Catalytic Converter Stolen
Someone stole a catalytic converter from a 1997 Buick parked in a lot in the 7600 block of North Avenue. The total estimated loss is $349, police said.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 7
Trespassing Arrest
Police arrested Akeem ray, 23, of Chicago after he caused a disturbance at McDonald's, 624 N. Harlem Ave., about 10 a.m. Police said Ray was asked to leave the restaurant several times and he refused. He was charged with misdemeanor trespassing.
