FRIDAY, MARCH 8

Stranger Attacks With Snowballs

Joseph L. Moore, 25, of the 4200 block of Maypole in Chicago, was charged with battery and property damage. Police said he followed a woman to her home in the 7200 block of Division, threw snowballs at her and picked her up off the ground. He also damaged a light fixture, police said. The woman said she didn't know Moore.

Retail Theft

Kelly E. Evans, 29, of the 500 block of Des Plaines Avenue in Forest Park, was charged with retail theft. Store security said she stole $176 worth of cosmetics and vitamins from Whole Foods Market, 7245 W. Lake St.

Identity Theft

A River Forest resident said his social security number was used to file someone else's Illinois tax return. The case was turned over to the state Department of Revenue.
