Man Robbed at Gunpoint in Oak Park

Man robbed in alley by armed offenders, according to Oak Park police.

A man was robbed at gunpoint in the 400 block of North Lombard Avenue Tuesday, Nov. 26, police said.

Two men in their 20s approached the victim in an alley about 10:30 a.m. One of the offenders, who was wearing a dark face mask, pointed a black semiautomatic handgun at the victim and demanded his money, then struck the victim, police said.

The second offender then took $3 out of the victim's wallet and tried to take a salt spreader from him.

After a short struggle, the salt spreader broke and the two offenders ran south through the alley. The total estimated loss is $83, police said.
