Man Set Meeting Place in Forest Park to Have Sex With a Child: Officials

A 27-year-old man is charged with indecent solicitation after he allegedly posted an ad seeking someone that would let him have sex with their niece, sister, young girlfriend/ wife, or daughter and was open about age, officials say.

A 27-year-old Hanover Park man who thought he was meeting an 8-year-old
girl in Forest Park this week to engage in sexual activity was instead arrested and charged with indecent solicitation of a child, the Cook County Sheriff's Office announced Friday.

The sheriff's Child Exploitation Unit in November began an investigation into an online ad in which Andrew Kozar was looking for someone to allow him to have sex with their niece, sister, young girlfriend/ wife, or daughter and was open about age, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

An undercover officer responded to the ad and told Kozar he had an 8-year-old daughter. Kozar later allegedly contacted the officer to arrange a Dec. 3 meeting in Forest Park.

Officials arrested Kozar at the meeting place. He was charged with one count of indecent solicitation of a child.

He is being held in Cook County Jail on $250,000 bond and conditions banning him from internet use, phone access or contact with minors if he posts bond, according to the release.

Kozar’s next court date is scheduled for Dec. 26 at the Maywood Courthouse.
