Sunday, November 10

Victim Hits Man With Gun Who Said, "What's Good"

A man pulled a gun on an Oak Park man in the 0-100 block of Pleasant Street and said "What's good," about 3:20 p.m. The victim was able to hit the offender, who then fled east from the scene, police said. Nothing was stolen.

Heroin Possession

Police charged John Redlich, 29, of Berwyn, with possession of a controlled substance in the 100 block of North Harlem Avenue about 11:30 a.m. He was held on bond. Police said Redlich had .5 grams of heroin. 

Juvenile Charged With iPhone Theft

Police arrested and charged Chicago juvenile after he stole an iPhone from someone in the 500 block of North Harvey Avenue about 4 p.m. He was returned to his aunt. 

Man Escapes Monitoring Device

Police charged Sean Falcone, 23, of Elmwood Park with escape after he removed his electronic monitoring device about noon. He was arrested in the 100 block of North Harlem Avenue, processed and turned over to the Cook County Sheriff's Department. Falcone, who was charged with retail theft on Oct. 28, is being held in Cook County Jail on $20,000 bail. His next court date is Nov. 20. 

Saturday, November 9

Burglar Found Hiding in Gas Station Utility Closet

George Goodwin, 49, of Chicago, was charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools after police found him hiding in a utility room at Clark gas station, 330 Chicago Ave. Police responded to a burglar alarm at the station about 2:30 a.m. and found Goodwin, who had used a screwdriver and vice pliers to break into the business. Police said he stole cigarettes and lottery tickets. He was processed, given a Nov. 15 court date and held on bond. 

Friday, November 8

Suspended License Arrests

Forest Park police charged Latoya Marshall, 32, of River Forest, with driving on a suspended license and failure to yield during a traffic stop near the intersection of Madison Street and Forest Avenue about 11:25 p.m. She was given a Dec. 24 court date and released. 

Forest Park police charged Anthony Hines, 36, of Oak Park, with driving on a suspended license in the 7700 block of Roosevelt Road about 10 a.m. He was given a Dec. 10 court date and released.
