Men Sold $95K in Heroin, Berwyn Police Say

Two men from nearby Berwyn have been charged with drug trafficking following a lengthy investigation.

Two men from nearby Berwyn have been charged with drug trafficking following a lengthy investigation, the Cook County Sheriff's Department announced Friday.

Jeremie Lander, 33, and Lonye Brown, 21, both of Berwyn, were charged Wednesday with the manufacture and delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of heroin. 

They appeared in court Friday in Maywood. Lander was given a $90,000 D-bond and Brown a $20,000 D-bond, police said.

The Sheriff's Department was contacted by Berwyn police in September to assist with a joint investigation into heroin trafficking. 

During the investigation, police identified Lander and Brown as possible dealers. Undercover purchases took place over the next two months. Police said the two men sold a total of 317.2 grams of heroin, which has an estimated street value of $95,160.
