Naked Teens with Nerf Guns and a Remorseful Thief

A round-up of unusual crimes in our Patch region.

Local police departments provided the following reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt.

Naked gunning

Northfield police responded to a call about a teenager running around naked. When they arrived, they found a clothed 16-year-old boy who told them a group of kids had been playing a game called "paranoia." In the game, the boy said, one player runs around unclothed while the others try to shoot him with Nerf guns. Officers tracked down the boy and his parents and advised them not to play the game any more.

A stop sign and sign pole were taken from an Oak Park intersection.

A 20 year-old Wilmette woman was arrested for driving on a suspended license. She was also cited for driving with an open bottle of Grey Goose vodka and a bottle of Vitamin Water with vodka in it.

Two outdoor lounge chairs were stolen from the backyard of a Skokie home.

A man stole a statue from the Century Cinema in Evanston.

A remorseful thief returned $10 that he taken from a juvenile in Oak Park. The victim told police that a man approached him and asked if he had any change. The victim showed him a $10 bill and told him that was all the money he had. The man grabbed the money and began to walk away when the victim began yelling for police. The offender returned the money and ran away.

Emily Stone is an awesome headline writer! I think my favorite is "Stop Thief." I'll be passing these around.

I agree. I like "Naked Gunning" myself.
