A brand-new 105-foot River Forest fire engine was damaged Thanksgiving morning when a driver didn't clear a viaduct at Central and Keystone avenues around 9 a.m., the Wednesday Journal reported Monday.
The Village of River Forest bought the truck for $650,000 this year, according to the Journal. River Forest Fire Chief James Eggert told the paper that the truck sustained "extensive damage."
Lisa Dent & Ramblin' Ray Mornings on US99.5 shared a photo of the collision on their Facebook page Tuesday morning (see above).
