MONDAY, OCT. 29

Burberry Watch Stolen From Car

A resident reported that someone entered their Nissan Altima, parked on the 600 block of south Lombard, between 9:30 p.m. Oct. 27 and 7 a.m. on Oct. 29 and stole a Burberry watch, $20 in coins, a flashlight and a pocket knife for an estimated loss of $340.

Battery Reported

An Oak Park resident told police that a man described as black, in his late 20s, of thin build and with dreadlocks, grabbed their hair and coat on the CTA platform in the 700 block of south Austin at about 6:30 a.m. The man left the train station in an unknown direction.

Air Conditioning Unit Reported Stolen

An Oak Park business in the 0-100 block of Lake Street reported that someone stolen an air conditioning unit from behind the business between 9 p.m. Oct. 27 and 10:20 a.m. Oct. 29 by cutting the copper piping the electrical wiring. The loss was estimated at $2,000.

Coin Jar Stolen From Bedroom

An Oak Park resident reported that someone stole a coin jar containing and estimated $110 in coins from the bedroom of their apartment in the 1000 block of west Pleasant between noon Oct. 26 and 9 a.m. Oct. 29. The victim told police they believe the person entered the apartment through an unlocked front door.

Robbery Arrest

Kavin Mitchell, 20, of the 1500 block of south Sawyer in Chicago, and a juvenile from Oak Park, were charged with robbery at about 2:11 a.m. in the 1100 block of Lake. Mitchell was held for bond court and the juvenile was released to family.

SUNDAY, OCT. 28

Retail Theft Arrest

Clifford Perkins, 51, of the 100 block of north Mayfield in Chicago was charged with retail theft for an incident that occurred at about 7:30 p.m. at CVS Pharmacy in the 300 block of Madison. Perkins was also identified as the offender in another retail theft/battery case that occurred at the same location on Oct. 23. Perkins was later released on bond.

Bike, GPS Stolen From Garage

An Oak Park resident reported that someone entered their garage through an unlocked side door on their garage, located in the 600 block of south Highland, between 12 p.m. on Oct. 26 and 12 p.m. on Oct. 12. Stolen were a bike and a Garmin GPS unit from their car. The total loss was estimated at $800.

SATURDAY, OCT. 27

Laptop Stolen From Car

An Oak Park resident reported to police that someone entered their garage in the 900 block of north Euclid between 7 p.m. Oct. 26 and 1:30 p.m. Oct 27 through an unlocked side door. The burglar then entered their car to steal a Dell Laptop and a red iPod Nano. The estimated loss was $1,253.
