Oak Park Man Accused of Felony Stalking in River Forest

Police said stalker made threats and harassed his victim online.

An Oak Park man was arrested and accused of stalking a River Forest family.

David L. Campbell, 20, of Oak Park, targeted the victim and engaged in "a pattern of physical surveillance, verbal threats and online harassment ... via social media," according to River Forest Police, who took Campbell into custody on March 16.

Campbell was known to the victim and had previously engaged in harassing behavior, police said.

A search warrant for Campbell’s cellular telephone revealed evidence consistent with facts reported by the victim.

Campbell now faces felony stalking charges.
