Yeah, right....defense claimed the white victim approached a car with 3 Black males at 2:30 am and started yelling "racial slurs" and that perpetrator had no choice but to defend himself by beating him. When was the last time you saw a news article in the local Patch where whites beat up, raped or murdered a Black person? Do a count...who is posting the most videos of "Knockout Game" assaults on the internet? Blacks kill whites at twice the rate of vice versa...and it has been slowly increasing over the past twenty years. I am weary of hearing the "racial prejudice" defense...the balance has shifted in the opposite direction now....authorities do not want to call these Hate crimes, but what other reason was there to attack and beat the victim?

This article does not mention urination charge, which was the reason for the altercation (according to an earlier Patch story). Supposedly, Paul MaGee was driving through down town Naperville when his passenger needed to urinate and MaGee stopped the car. The passenger got out and began urinating on the street, at which time the beating victim approaerched the pair, telling them that they could not do this. The driver (MaGee) exited his car and started beating the poor guy, severely injuring him. However this article
