Oak Park Police Blotter: Cash, Pizza and Car Stolen

Custom printing plates valued at $18,000 also swiped, among other reported crimes.

The following items are taken from daily summary reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Burglary: A cash box containing $175 was stolen from a drawer at , 1515 N. Harlem Ave., between March 23 and March 25.

Theft: A pizza order worth about $39 was taken from the deliverer in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard on March 24.

Drug Charge: Wendy F. Sterioti, 30, of 649 First St., No. 2, in Lemont, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the 6200 block of Roosevelt Road on March 24, police said.

Criminal Damage: The driver's side tail light and passenger door mirror of a vehicle parked on the eastern edge of Madison Street were broken. The damage, which occurred between March 23 and March 24, was estimated at $150.

Vehicle Theft: A Blackberry cell phone, car keys and a Toyota Camry were stolen from the Oak Park Tennis and Fitness Centre, 301 Lake St., on March 23. The estimated loss is $20,600.

Retail Theft Charge: Moe A. Lyman, 33, of 5911 W. Huron St. in Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft and battery after an incident at  store, 259 Lake St., on March 23, police said.

Theft: Two boxes of custom printing plates and two custom cutting dyes were stolen from the basement storage area of Business Design Consultant, 825 Lake St., between March 16 and March 23. The estimated loss is $18,000.

Theft: A parking permit sticker of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of North Oak Park Avenue was stolen on March 23. The estimated loss is unknown.

Drug Paraphernalia Charge: Pamela Hairston, 40, of 833 N. Latrobe Ave. in Chicago, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia in the 1000 block of Taylor Avenue on March 23, police said.

Criminal Damage: An obscene phrase was carved into the roof of a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of South Oak Park Avenue between March 22 and March 23. The estimated damage is $750.

Burglary: A GPS device was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 500 block of South Oak Park Avenue between March 22 and March 23. The estimated loss is $250.

Criminal Damage: The paint job of a vehicle parked in the 600 block of South Maple Avenue was badly scratched, causing an estimated $500 in damage on March 22.

Theft: A black iPhone was stolen from a passenger on CTA's Blue Line. The estimated loss of $200 was reported at 720 S. Austin Blvd., near the El stop.

Criminal Defacement Charge: A male juvenile was charged with criminal defacement and issued two citations for graffiti in the 1000 block of North Boulevard on March 22, police said.

Criminal Damage Charge: A male juvenile was charged with criminal damage in the 100 block of North Taylor Avenue on March 22, police said.

Burglary: A bag containing $250 in cash and a computer hard drive was stolen from , 6321 W. North Ave., between March 20 and March 21. The estimated loss is $650.

Vehicle Theft: A truck tractor parked in the 6200 block of West North Avenue was stolen between March 20 and March 21. The estimated loss is $20,000.

Theft: The rear license plate of a vehicle parked at Industrial Equipment and Leasing Corp., 6720 W. Roosevelt Rd., was stolen between March 18 and March 21. The estimated loss is $6.

Burglary: Two laptops and a variety of medications were stolen from a health care center at 6957 W. North Ave.  between March 17 and March 21. 

Retail Theft Charge: Marcelia Bradford, 41, of 7148 W. 16th St. in Berwyn, was charged with felony retail theft after Bradford was caught stealing at the   store, 345 Madison St., on March 21, police said.

Theft Charge: Isaac I. Thompson, 21, of 1625 N. Normandy Ave. in Chicago, was charged with theft after an incident involving an Oak Park juvenile in the 1600 block of North Normandy Avenue in Chicago on March 21, police said.

Theft Charge: Destiny Negrete, 18, of 926 S. Humphrey Ave., was charged with two counts of theft at , 201 N. Scoville Ave., on March 21, police said.

Burglary: A Garmin Nuvi GPS device, valued at $100, was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 00 block of Van Buren Street on March 21.

Theft: A spare tire valued at $200 was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of North Kenilworth Avenue between March 20 and March 21.

Drunken Driving Charge: Luis R. Davila, 26, of 3518 S. 61st Ct. in Cicero, was charged with drunken driving in the 7100 block of North Avenue on March 20, police said.

Criminal Damage: The driver's side mirror of a vehicle parked at Jewel Foods, 438 W. Madison St., was broken on March 20. 

Theft: An electric amplifier, two microphones and two audio cords, valued at $380, were stolen from the , 700 S. Ridgeland Ave., between March 13 and March 20.

Theft: Twelve feet of copper downspout were stolen from a residence in the 700 block of South East Avenue between March 6 and March 20. The estimated loss is $500.

Drunken Driving Charge: Antwan D. Lambert, 39, of 442 Morris Ave. in Bellwood, was charged with drunken driving, driving without insurance, transportation and possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle and improper lane usage in the 1100 block of Madison Street on March 19, police said.

Theft: A black saddle-style seat was stolen from a bicycle in the 1100 block of Lake Street on March 19. 

Vehicle Theft: A Honda Accord parked in the 100 block of North Humphrey Avenue was stolen between March 17 and March 18. The estimated loss is $2,600.

Theft: A copper planter pot, valued at $50, was stolen from a residence in the 500 block of South East Avenue between March 17 and March 18.

Criminal Defacement: Two juveniles were charged with defacement of property after an incident at , 622 Madison St., on March 17, police said.

Vehicle Theft: A Ford Taurus parked at the  at 727 N. Harlem Ave. was stolen between Feb. 15 and Feb. 22.
