Oak Park Police Blotter: Man Attacked, Weapon Charge and Various Thefts

Multiple burglaries also reported.

The following items are taken from  daily summary reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurs, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Robbery Charge:
A juvenile from Chicago was charged with robbery on Saturday, Feb. 26, police said.

DUI Charge: Daniel U. Bronner, 23, of 1838 S. Ninth Ave. in Maywood, was charged with drunken driving, marijuana possession, illegal transportation or possession of alcohol in a vehicle, driving without valid insurance and improper parking on a roadway in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue on Saturday, Feb. 26, police said.

Criminal Damage Charge:
Michael R. Donnelly, 27, of New Jersey, was charged with criminal damage to property after an incident in the 200 block of South Marion Street on Saturday, Feb. 26, police said.

Battery:
A man walking  in the 200 block of South Grove Avenue reported being struck in the back of the head three times with a closed fist and being kicked in the buttocks on Friday, Feb. 25.

Burglary:
A bicycle valued at $350 was stolen from a garage in the 900 block of North East Avenue between Friday, Feb. 25 and Saturday, Feb. 26. 

Criminal Trespass:
Larry Gaylor, 29, of 5524 W. Cortez St. in Chicago, was charged with criminal trespass in the 500 block of South Austin Boulevard on Wednesday, Feb. 24, police said.

Criminal Damage:
Around $2,000 of damage was done to a vehicle parked in the 900 block of South Maple Avenue on Thursday, Feb. 24, including a punctured rear left tire, scratched paint along the driver's side and rear of the vehicle and a broken rear windshield wiper.

Robbery:
Two juveniles were charged with robbery on Wednesday, Feb. 23, before being released to their parents, police said.

Theft:
The vehicle sticker was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of West Washington Boulevard between Wednesday, Feb. 23 and Thursday, Feb. 24. Loss estimated at $20.

Domestic Battery: 
Frank A. Cauceglia, 64, of 922 North Blvd., was charged with domestic battery and interference with the report of domestic violence at his residence on Wednesday, Feb. 23, police said.

Burglary:
A red Toro snowblower valued at $400 was removed from an unlocked garage in the 700 block of Woodbine Avenue between Tuesday, Feb. 22 and Wednesday, Feb. 23.

Theft:
The catalytic converter belonging to a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Harrison Street was stolen between Tuesday, Feb. 22 and Wednesday, Feb. 23. Loss estimated at $700.

Theft:
Four center wheel caps valued at $200 were pried from a vehicle parked in the 7000 block of North Avenue on Tuesday, Feb. 22.

Disorderly Conduct Charge:
Two juveniles were charged with disorderly conduct at the Oak Park Public Library Main Branch, 834 Lake St., on Tuesday, Feb. 22, before being released to their parents, police said.

Marijuana Possession Charge:
William T. Thomas, 27, of 4313 W. Thomas St. in Chicago, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana in the 900 block of North Austin Boulevard on Tuesday, Feb. 22, police said.

Robbery:
A man in the 100 block of Chicago Avenue reported being struck in the right side of his face before two men stole his wallet off his person and his black and white HTC Evo cell phone from his truck on Tuesday, Feb. 22. Total loss $310.

Burglary:
A black and red gym bag containing a black Apple iPod, gym shoes and clothing was stolen from a car parked in the 1100 block of South Grove Avenue between Feb. 17 and Tuesday, Feb. 22. Loss estimated at $534.99.

Theft:
An iPhone, laptop, notebook computer and calculator were stolen from the 300 block of South Euclid Avenue on Monday, Feb. 21. Total loss estimated at $2,250.

Theft:
A snowblower valued at $1,800 was stolen from a garage in the 400 block of Lenox Street on Monday, Feb. 21. 

Theft:
A gym bag containing a diamond wedding ring, other jewelry, a jewelry case, a Lancome make up kit and various clothing items was stolen from the 900 block of North Oak Park Avenue on Monday, Feb. 21 after it was left unattended. Loss estimated at $9,535.

Burglary:
A black laptop valued at $2,200 was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 600 block of North Taylor Avenue between Feb. 20 and Monday, Feb. 21.

Burglary:
A black leather wallet containing various ID and credit cards and a red mountain bike valued at a combined $280 were stolen from a garage in the 400 block of North Lombard Avenue between Feb. 20 and Monday, Feb. 21. 

Weapon Charge: Timmie Buford, 31, of 6445 W. 18th St. in Berwyn, was charged with possession of a firearm in the 1000 block of North Mapleton Avenue on Feb. 20, police said.

Retail Theft Charge:
Robert McGhee, 54, of 124 N. Latrobe Ave. in Chicago, was stopped in the 0-100 block of Lake Street and charged with retail theft at , 345 Madison St. on Feb. 20, police said.

Theft:
A black wallet containing cash and identification was stolen from a shopping cart in the parking lot of Jewel-Osco, 438 Madison St., on Feb. 20. Loss estimated at $30.

Criminal Damage:
Two windows belonging to a business in the 1000 block of North Boulevard were broken between Feb. 19 and Feb. 20. Damage estimated at $30.

Theft:
A black plastic bag containing a black leather wallet, cash and credit cards estimated at $1,500 was stolen after it was left unattended in the 100 block of Madison Street on Feb. 19.

Burglary:
Twenty dollars cash was removed from two unlocked vehicles parked in a driveway in the 900 block of North Grove Avenue between Feb. 18 and Feb. 19.

Theft:
A wallet containing $40 cash, credit cards and identification was removed from a woman's purse in the 400 block of North Harlem Avenue on Feb. 18. Total loss estimated at $110.
