Oak Park Police Blotter: OPRF Student Charged with Theft of iPod, Cash

Car Theft: A 1999 Lincoln Town Car parked in the 300 block of South Taylor Avenue was stolen sometime between Nov. 2 and Nob. 3. Estimated loss was $4,000.
Theft Arrest: A 17-year-old Oak Park student was charged Nov. 3 with theft for taking an iPod and cash from the backpack of a 17-year-old classmate at , 201 N. Scoville Ave., police said. The incident took place Oct. 26 in the cafeteria.
Theft: Approximately $100 was stolen sometime between Nov. 2 and Nov. 3 from a purse underneath a patient's bed at , 3 Erie Ct.

Theft from Auto: A catalytic converter was stolen Nov. 3 from underneath a 2008 Honda Element parked in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue. Estimated loss was $500.
DUI Arrest: Grzegorz Balamut, 42, of River Grove, was charged Nov. 4 with drunken driving and disobeying a traffic control device, police said.
