TUESDAY, AUGUST 13

Kid Charged With Theft

A juvenile Maywood resident was arrested for stealing a cell phone from a Berwyn resident about 10:25 p.m. in the 1100 block of West Garfield Avenue in Oak Park.

Warrant: Underage Drinking

Oak Park police charged Israel Camacho, 21, of Crystal Lake, with a warrant out of DuPage County for underage drinking. He was arrested in the 1600 block of North Harlem Avenue in Elmwood Park about 7:30 p.m. and held for DuPage County.

Electronics Stolen

Someone stole a Dell laptop and an iTouch from a cardboard box in an apartment building in the 800 block of South Austin Boulevard in Oak Park between 4:35 and 9:45 p.m. The total estimated loss is $2,100, police said. 

MONDAY, AUGUST 12

Intruder Pushes Resident, Yells, "Get Down" 

A resident reported battery about 8:50 p.m. after an intruder who entered an open garage in the 800 block of Mapleton, approached him from behind and pushed him to the ground, saying, "Get down." The offender then ran out of the garage, Oak Park police said. 

Teen Arrested for Drug Possession at Underage Party

A 16-year-old Oak Park resident was arrested for possession of cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana and drug paraphernalia at an underage party in the woods near the 7900 block of Hawthorne Avenue in River Forest. The juvenile was arrested about 10 p.m. and released to his parents, police said. 

SUNDAY, AUGUST 11

Tire Punctured

Someone punctured a tire on a Dodge Caravan parked in the 8000 block of Lake Street in River Forest. 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 10

Car Damage

Someone keyed a 2000 Ford pickup parked in the 400 block of Franklin Avenue in River Forest.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 9

Credit Cards, Meds Stolen From Car

Someone stole credit cards and prescription medication from a woman's purse left in a car at the West Suburban Medical Campus, 420 William Ave., around 1:30 p.m., River Forest police said.
