Oak Park Woman Cited for Animal Cruelty

Forest Park police cite an Oak Park woman for leaving her dog in a hot car. Another Oak Park woman was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident.

Animal Cruelty

Forest Park police issued a local ordinance citation of cruelty to animals to Ebbenni Triplet, 34, of Oak Park for leaving her dog in her car in 85-degree weather. Police said the small white dog in the car was panting heavily and excessively salivating in the car. Triplet told police she had only gone into Walmart, 1300 Des Plaines Ave. for a minute.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 27

Leaving the Scene of an Accident

Police charged Sherri Tracy, 44, of Oak Park, with leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a license and failure to reduce speed after an accident around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Adams and Thomas. She was given an Oct. 15 court date and released on bond.
