OMG PD: Upskirt Filming, Drunken Plant Pulling, Sex in Parking Lot

A look at some of the more bizarre items this week from area police blotters.

OAK PARK

Oak Park Man Accused of Filming up Women's Dresses

An Oak Park man used a video camera to look up women's dresses while shopping during a Thursday Night Out event June 20, Oak Park police said. 

Christopher Meyer, 61, of the 1100 block of Erie, was charged with unauthorized video recording and live transmission. He was being held in lieu of bond.

Police said Meyer was acting suspiciously around women in the area and later found a mini camera attached to his shoe. A search warrant for his home was executed, and police said there was evidence found of videos being uploaded to the Internet. 

According to Sun-Times Media, Meyer works at the Oak Park Animal Care League and was once the women’s volleyball coach at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

FOREST PARK

22 Men Throw Bricks at Each Other in Fight

Police were called to the 900 block of Thomas in Forest Park because of a fight that involved about 22 people. A resident who called in the fight said the men were throwing bricks at each other.

Several men fled the scene and ran through residents’ yards. Brian A. Robinson, 20, of Forest Park; Tevin D. Russell, 21, of Chicago; and a juvenile were found in one yard and charged with mob action and disorderly conduct. Robinson was also charged with possession of marijuana.

Public Drunk Pulls Plants

Police were called to Hannah and Madison regarding a man tearing flowers from a village flower pot and throwing them on the ground. 
Alfredo Tovar, 22, of Forest Park, was charged with a village ordinance violation for public intoxication. Police said he was "highly intoxicated," and when questioned he said "I'm a f---ing idiot." He reportedly apologized about the plants.

Officers then saw Pablo Perdomo, 23, of Forest Park, drinking from a cup that said Bud Light, and he refused to sit down when commanded by police. He was charged with obstructing justice and open alcohol.

LA GRANGE

'Lucifer' Harasses Priest

A 31-year-old homeless man who called himself “Lucifer” was harassing a priest at Emmanuel Episcopal Church around 8:33 a.m., police said. Officers sent the man on his way.

Couple has Sexy Time in Pier 1 Parking Lot

A man and woman were engaging in a sex act in the parking lot by Pier 1 around 11:20 p.m., police said. They were gone when officers arrived.

Wrong Apartment

A woman in tiger-striped pants drunkenly banged on the sliding glass door of an apartment in the 900 block of South 8th Street around 2:38 a.m., police said. She ran away with two other men. The trio, all drunk, mistakenly thought it was an apartment they had been in earlier and were returning to get the woman’s phone charger, police said.
