Has Anyone Seen The LensCrafters Thief?

Nearly $13,000 in designer frames taken from optical store in River Forest.

River Forest police are continuing to look for a suspect who may be linked to last week’s thefts of nearly $13,000 worth of designer eyeglass frames.

The first incident took place on May 12 when a man wearing a trench coat, entered the LensCrafters store, 7345 Lake St. in the afternoon, walked around the store and took off. A day later, 20 pairs of frames, valued at a combined $9,000 were discovered missing.

Then, on May 16, an employee told police that 12 pairs of frames, valued at $3,900 were stolen from the store.
