Police Blotter: Fight Breaks out at Clinton Place

SATURDAY, APRIL 20

Fight at Clinton Place

At about 11 a.m. police responded to a call from a resident on the 1500 block of Clinton Place reporting that a fight had broken out after a friend had stolen her wallet.

The victim told police that she let her friend into her car to return some belongings but then noticed that her friend stole her wallet containing $200. The victim confronted the friend and then a fight broke out before the individual left the scene. Police are investigating the incident.

FRIDAY, APRIL 19 

Disorderly Conduct

Joshua Torres, 24, of the 1300 block of W. Columbia Ave. in Chicago was arrested at 11:30 a.m. after police responded to complaints from school security at Dominican University of a disturbance.

THURSDAY, APRIL 18

Address Sign Stolen

A copper address sign was stolen from a residence on the 1300 block of Franklin Ave. The theft occurred sometime between March 26 and April 15. Losses are estimated at $200.

TUESDAY, APRIL 16

Vehicle Damaged

A 2010 black Cadillac Escalade was keyed overnight on the 7200 block of Oak St. There were no witnesses to the incident, according to police reports.

MONDAY, APRIL 15

Copper Theft

The copper downspouts from a residence on the 900 block of Bonnie Brae Place were stolen sometime between January 5 and April 13.
