Police Blotter: Oak Park

Pharmacy, bike thefts and burglaries all reported over past week.

BURGLARY An iPhone charger and documents valued at a combined $50 were stolen Aug. 28 from an unlocked 2008 Dodge Charger parked in the 500 block of South Lombard Avenue .

RETAIL THEFT Byron Watts, 44, 4936 W. Monroe Ave. in Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft Aug. 30 after he was caught stealing men's deodorant from the CVS Pharmacy at 345 W. Madison St., police said.

BIKE THEFT A locked, black and gray Schwinn bicycle valued at $820 was stolen Aug. 30 from a bike rack in the 800 block of Lake Street.

VEHICLE THEFT A red 1996 Jeep Cherokee, valued at $6,000 and parked in the 700 clock of Clinton Avenue, was stolen Aug. 30

DOMESTIC BATTERY Arcadio Hernandez, 39, of North Lake, was charged with domestic battery Aug. 30 in the 700 block of North East Avenue, police said.

DUI ARREST Nelson Rodriguez, 35, 4844 W. Newport Ave. in Chicago, was charged with drunken driving after an Aug. 30 traffic stop in the 2100 block of South First Avenue in Maywood, police said.

THEFT John Baggett, 17, of the 600 block of West Harrison Street, and an unidentified juvenile were charged with theft Aug. 30 after stealing a bicycle.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE The rear basement door of a home in the 200 block of North Ridgeland Avenue was kicked in and damaged on Aug. 31.

BURGLARY A digital camera valued at $495 was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of North Taylor Avenue during a car break-in about Sept. 1.

RETAIL THEFT David Miles, also known as Enrico Matthews, 28, 5208 W. Quincy St. in Chicago, was charged with retail theft Sept. 1 after he was caught stealing merchandise from the CVS Phramacy at 345 W. Madison St., police said.

RETAIL THEFT John Rodriguez, 50, 2123 S. 51st Ct. in Cicero, was charged with felony retail theft Sept. 1 after he was caught stealing merchandise from the CVS Pharmacy at 6033 Roosevelt Rd., police said.

BURGLARY A PlayStation 3 video game console valued at $200 was stolen Sept. 1 during a residential burglary at a home in the 1100 block of South Lyman Avenue.

BURGLARY A cell phone and Bluetooth device valued at a combined $425 were stolen Sept. 1 from a vehicle parked in the 6800 block of North Avenue.

THEFT Christian Poole, 21, 854 N. Lawler Ave. in Chicago, was charged with theft and marijuana possession Sept. 1 after stealing $40 from a juvenile, police said.

BURGLARY Two offices inside First Baptist Church of Oak Park, 820 Ontario St., were burglarized Sept. 1, but it is unclear if any items were taken.

VEHICLE THEFT A white 2005 Ford Explorer parked in the 500 block of South Austin Boulevard was stolen Sept. 2.

MARIJUANA POSSESSION Covonda Kincaid-Derbas, 31, of Stickney, was charged with marijuana possession during a Sept. 2 stop in the 1000 block of North Boulevard, police said.

BIKE THEFT A locked, blue and white Haro brand bicycle was stolen Sept. 2 from a light pole in the 300 block of South Kenilworth Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT Twenty-five bottles of body wash valued at nearly $225 were stolen Sept. 2 from the Walgreen's at 6412 Roosevelt Rd.

DUI ARREST In Park, 36, of Skokie, was charged with drunken driving after a Sept. 3 traffic stop in the 1500 block of North Harlem Avenue, police said.
