Police: River Forest Burglar Charged

Police in River Forest say they've caught the man behind a series of recent car and garage burglaries. 

Alex Miles, 18, of Bensenville, was arrested after trying to outrun DuPage County authorities in a car reported stolen from River Forest on Feb. 14, police said. 

River Forest investigators linked Miles to two burglaries, prompting charges for two counts of burglary on March 22. He's suspected in six similar burglaries, police said.

The incidents  and mirrored each other: in each case, unlocked garages were entered, vehicles were ransacked and items including loose change and electronics were stolen.
