Another spent lead bullet found on the campus of Dominican University last week may be linked to shots that were fired near, but not on, the campus in , police said Monday.

Campus security told River Forest police that athletes on the soccer field discovered the slug on April 23, but they won't know until forensic tests are conducted to determine if it was from the same 9-mm gun used Feb. 26, in which a window was shattered in a campus building.  was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon March 6 for the shooting. 

Battery

A 30-year-old man sustained redness and swelling under the right eye April 23 when another man struck him in the face during a blood drive at Concordia University, 7400 Augusta St.

The victim told police he was an employee of the company conducting the drive when he was confronted by a subject who had a romantic relationship with a woman the victim had dated.

An argument ensued and the offender began punching the man and threatening more harm if the victim continued to date the woman. The victim began defending himself, and the attacker ran away.
