Wallet swiped from grocery shopper, cash stolen from dorm room napper.

The following items are taken from daily summary reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Animal removal: A wild squirrel sneaked into a residence in the 900 block of Keystone Avenue on Saturday Dec. 4 and was removed.

Theft: About $300 was stolen from a wallet as a student slept in his dorm room at , 7400 Augusta St., on Saturday Dec. 4.

Criminal damage: The electrical wiring to a string of outdoor Christmas lights was cut overnight in the 1200 block of William Street on Friday Dec. 3.

Theft: A wallet containing several credit cards was stolen from a shopper's purse at the , 7525 Lake St. on Friday Dec. 2.

Car theft: A vehicle sticker was stolen from a license plate on a vehicle parked in at Madison Street and Keystone Avenue on Friday Dec. 2.

Theft: A men's Nike backpack valued at $400 was stolen from the men's general locker room at , 7900 Division St., on Friday Dec. 2.

Theft: A Droid HTC cell phone valued at $600 was stolen from the Verizon Store, 7261 Lake St., on Friday Dec. 2.

Retail theft: Milton Williams Jr., 29, homeless, was caught stealing $15.18 worth of hot bar food from , 7245 Lake St., on Thursday Dec. 1, and was charged with retail theft under $150, later upgraded to a felony due to a prior conviction, police said.

Car theft: A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 7500 block of Division Street on Thursday Dec. 1.

Car burglary: Power tools were stolen from a vehicle in the 1400 block of Bonnie Brae Place after the rear driver's side window was smashed around Nov. 30.

Criminal damage: The front driver's side window of a vehicle parked in the 1300 block of Monroe Avenue was smashed open with a golf club on Nov. 30.

Theft: A Taylor guitar with a blue strap was stolen Nov. 28 from , 7301 Division St.
