River Forest Police Blotter: Curfew Arrest, Car Scratched

Traffic arrests galore.

The following items are taken from the River Forest Police Department daily summary reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Criminal Damage: A 3-foot scratch was made Sept. 25 on the driver’s side door of a Honda Civic parked in the lot at , 7245 Lake St.

Traffic Arrest: Jason P. Daniels, 28, of Oak Park, was charged Sept. 25 for driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop in the area of Lemoyne Street and Harlem Avenue, police said.

Burglary to Auto: Clothing, jumper cables, a blanket and food were stolen sometime between Sept. 22 and Sept. 23 from an unlocked 2008 Honda Civic parked in the 1100 block of Harlem Avenue.

Burglary to Auto: A change purse containing $3 and an emergency road kit were taken sometime between Sept. 22 and Sept. 23 from an unlocked 2008 Ford Escape parked behind a building in the 1100 block of North Harlem Avenue.

Traffic Arrest: David Anderson, 34, of River Forest, was charged Sept. 23 with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 8000 block of Lake Street, police said.

Burglary to Auto: The rear passenger window was broken Sept. 22 on a 2007 Toyota Camry parked in the 800 block of Lake Street; nothing was taken.

Traffic Arrest: Deriesha M. Hodges, 23, of Chicago, was charged Sept. 22 with driving on a suspended license and failing to restrain a child in a safety seat after a traffic stop in the area of Harlem and North avenues, police said.

Traffic Arrest: Jose M. Calder-Avila, 30, of Forest Park, was charged Sept. 22 with driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance after a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Greenfield Street, police said.

Traffic Arrest: Robert D. Washington, 24, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license after he was pulled over in the area of Jackson Avenue and North Avenue for driving without a seatbelt, police said. 

Curfew Violation: A 17-year-old was charged Sept. 21 with violating curfew and possessing tobacco after authorities found him walking in the 1400 block of Harlem Avenue at 12:15 a.m., police said.

Robbery: Two kids pushed another off his bicycle outside of , 624 N. Harlem Ave., on Sept. 20 and stole his iPod.

Traffic Arrest: Joanna Roman, 23, of Chicago, was charged Sept. 20 with driving on a suspended license and driving with an expired registration sticker after a traffic stop at North and Kenilworth avenues in Oak Park, police said.

Traffic Arrest: Leticia Vargas, 40 of Hoffman Estates, was charged Sept. 20 with driving without a valid license after a traffic stop in the 7600 block of Lake Street.
