Key, 22, of Chicago, was charged with reckless driving and other offenses May 2 after he led officers on a high-speed chase before he was stopped in a parking lot at Concordia University, police said. The pursuit began when the driver of the speeding Ford ran stop signs at Lathrop and Augusta Blvd. before pulling into the campus parking lot and driving toward the athletic fields. It ended when the driver attempted a U-turn but found a police cruiser blocking the way. Key was also charged with driving more than 31 miles per hour over the speed limit and two counts of disobeying a stop sign, police said. The passengers in the auto were released without charges.
