River Forest Police Blotter: Soliciting for Sex, Stolen Wallets and Swiped Cell Phones

Reckless driving and other traffic arrests also reported.

The following items are taken from River Forest daily summary reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Traffic Arrest: Jasmine Williams of Maywood was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license April 17 after a traffic stop in the 7000 block of North Avenue, police said.

Retail Theft: Vanessa Benefico of River Forest was charged April 17 with retail theft for stealing cosmetics from Walgreens, 7251 W. Lake St. and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Theft: A wallet was reported stolen April 17 from a customer's purse at , 7245 W. Lake St.

Traffic Arrest T Rashonde T. James of Bellwood was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license on April 17 after a traffic stop in the 7500 block of Chicago Avenue, police said.

Sex Solicitation: Henry Charles Ecker of Oak Park was charged with soliciting for sex April 17 in the 8100 block of Chicago Avenue, police said.

Traffic Arrest: Cesar Leyva of Chicago was charged April 17  for driving on a suspended license and other traffic violations after a stop at Harlem and North Avenues, police said.

Reckless Driving: Joel Delgado of Melrose Park was charged April 16 with speeding, improper lane usage and having open liquor in his car after a traffic stop at First and North Avenues, police said. 

Traffic Arrest: Domingo Acevedo of Chicago was charged April 16 with driving on a suspended license and other traffic violations following a stop at Franklin Street and Harlem Avenue, police said.

Forced Entry: The garage door to a home in the 1500 block of Bonnie Brae Place was reported forced open on April 15; nothing was apparently taken.

Traffic Arrest: Nathaniel Hudson of Chicago charged April 14 with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop at Randolph Street and Des Plaines Avenue, police said. 

Theft: A wallet containing credit cards and other identification was reported stolen April 13 from a customer at 7349 Lake St. Some of the cards were later used to get cash advances and buy items all valued in excess of $2,000, police said.

Theft: A $200 cell phone was reported stolen on April 13 from a student in the cafeteria at, 7400 Augusta St.

Traffic Arrest: Jacob Negrete of Melrose Park was charged with reckless driving on April 12 after a stop in the area of Chicago Avenue and Jackson Avenue, police said.

Traffic Arrest: Monique Wallace of Oak Park was charged April 11 with driving on expired plates following a traffic stop at Randolph Street and Rockford Avenue in Forest Park, police said.
