River Forest Police Blotter: Wedding Rings and Jewelry Stolen From Apartment

Street robbery thwarted, DUIs and other incidents from this week's list of reported crimes.

The following items are taken from  daily summary reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurs, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

DUI Charge: Andrea G. Body, 22, of 7540 W. Ishnala Drive in Palos Heights, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at Park Avenue and Le Moyne Parkway about Monday, Jan. 17.

DUI Charge: David P. Smith, 18, of 5248 George St. in Chicago, was charged with drunken driving and underage consumption of alcohol after a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Monroe Avenue on Sunday, Jan. 16, police said.

Burglary: Three wedding rings and two pairs of earrings, value were reported stolen from a residence in the 1500 block of Bonnie Brae Place on Thursday, Jan. 13. The previous day, two unknown offenders were able to get into the apartment complex pretending to be utility workers there to check the building's water pressure.

Criminal Trespass: Ezekiel Henderson, 67, of 2937 W. Harrison St. in Chicago, was charged with criminal trespass after an incident at , 7245 Lake St., on Wednesday, Jan. 12, police said.

Criminal Trespass: Thomas G. Ford, 47, of 3307 Cuyler Ave. in Berwyn, was charged with criminal trespass to real property and two counts of battery to police officers at , 7201 Lake St., on Wednesday, Jan. 12, police said.

Robbery Attempt: An unknown offender unsuccessfully attempted to steal the wallet of a passerby in the blocks of Division Street and Thatcher Avenue on Jan. 10.
