River Forest Police Blotter: Woman Arrested While Bailing out a Friend

The following information was supplied by the River Forest Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Warrant Arrest: Jurate A. Dannard, 27, of Chicago, was arrested March 28 on an outstanding warrant out of DuPage County for driving on a suspended license, police said. Police learned about the warrant when she came into the station to post bond for a friend, who had arrested that day, and then detained her for two hours while another friend came in to post her bond, police said.

Traffic Arrest: Tonya L. Davis, 26, of Chicago, was charged April 1 with driving on a suspended license after an officer on patrol at North and Thatcher avenues spotted an eastbound car with expired registration plates, police said. Davis also was charged with driving with an expired registration, driving without insurance and failing to notify the secretary of state’s office about an address change.

Traffic Arrest: Pastor F. Sanchez, 41, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a license March 31 after he was stopped in the 7600 block of Lake Street for having a revoked registration, police said. He also was charged with driving without a license and without insurance.

Traffic Arrest: Morissa Carr, 21, of Bellwood, was charged with driving on a suspended license after her car was pulled over in the 1400 block of Thatcher Avenue for speeding, police said. She also was charged with speeding, driving on a suspended registration and driving without insurance.

Traffic Arrest: LaSalle Donaldson, 20, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a license after a traffic stop in the 7300 block of Chicago Avenue for not having a front registration plate, police said. She also was cited for not having a front registration plate and unlawful use of a driver’s license.

Retail Theft Arrest: Nicholas J. Talsma, 19, of Hoffman Estates, was charged with retail theft March 29 after an officer and store security in Jewel-Osco 7525 Lake St., saw him pick up a bottle of rum and conceal it in a jacket pocket, police said. He was apprehended as he tried to flee the store, police said. The liquor was valued at $26.79.

Traffic Arrest: Natashia Wilson, 27, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license March 29 after she was pulled over in the 800 block of Thatcher Avenue for having one operating headlamp, police said. The license was suspended for failing to pay parking tickets.

Traffic Arrest: Rogelio Carrera-Valdez, 25, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a license March 28 after an officer twice saw him suddenly accelerate, squealing his tires, and change lanes in heavy traffic, police said. He was apprehended in the 7600 block of North Avenue and also charged with driving without insurance, changing lanes without signaling when required and illegal squealing of tires.

Criminal Damage to Village Property: A streetlight in the 100 block of Forest Avenue was shot out with a BB-gun March 27. Police said a 14-year-old boy hit the lamp instead of targets that had been set up around the light pole.

Retail Theft: Eleven bottles of liquor and 39 packages of tobacco products were stolen March 26 when one man jumped over a counter at Jewel-Osco and took the items while two friends served as lookouts. The proceeds were then divided among the three, who fled the store shortly after 12:20 a.m., police said. Estimated loss was more than $778.
