River Forest Police Blotter: Woman's Leg Struck by Egg

Parole violator picked up; traffic and warrant arrests and more.

The following items are taken from River Forest daily summary reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Warrant Arrest: Kenneth R. Nelson, 21, of Chicago, was arrested Oct. 23 for violating probation related to a charge of burglary in Champaign County, police said. The active warrant was discovered after police pulled him over in the area of North and Forest Avenues in Oak Park and charged him with driving on a suspended license.

Traffic Arrest: Manuel Espinoza, 35, of Chicago, was charged Oct. 23 with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 7000 block of North Avenue, police said.

Traffic Arrest: Miguel A. Reyes-Martinez, 31, of Cicero, was charged Oct. 23 with driving without a valid license and improper lane usage, police said. Police stopped his car in the area of Harlem and Thatcher Avenues because the temporary registration tag on his car had expired, police said.

Theft: A catalytic converter was taken sometime between Oct. 20 and Oct. 21 from a 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette parked in the 7600 block of Madison Street. Estimated loss was $600.

Traffic Arrest: Sharlese N. Peoples, 24, of Chicago, was charged Oct. 21 with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 8000 block of Lake Street, police said.

Warrant Arrest: Anna M. Delgadillo, 44, of Chicago, was arrested Oct. 19 on outstanding warrants out of Elk Grove Village and DuPage County for driving on a suspended license, police said. Police apprehended her for making an improper turn in the area of Division Street and Keystone Avenue.

Traffic Arrest: Heriberto Perez-Barrientos, 35, of Chicago, was charged Oct. 19 with driving without a valid license and disobeying a traffic control signal after a stop in the 1200 block of Harlem Avenue, police said.

Battery: A woman standing in the area of Lake Street and Bonnie Brae on Oct. 17 was hit in the leg with an egg thrown from a moving car.

Theft: An unlocked 26-inch bicycle was stolen Oct. 17 from a rack outside of , 7560 Oak Ave.

Criminal Trespass: Maurice Lake, 50, of Chicago, was charged with criminal trespass Oct. 17 after being repeatedly warned that he was not supposed to be in Town Center, Lake Street and Harlem Avenue, police said.

Criminal Damage: Four tires were slashed Oct. 17 on a Cadillac SRX parked in the 900 block of Park Avenue.

Warrant Arrest: Lakeisha Nigro, 30, of Addison, was arrested Oct. 17 on outstanding warrants from DuPage County for failing to appear in court on charges of theft and driving on a suspended license and another warrant out of Addison for domestic battery, police said. She was pulled over in the 7900 block of Madison Street for having an expired registration sticker on her car.
