River Forest Police Report 4 Arrests, 31 Citations Over Holiday Crackdown

The River Forest Police Department made one drunk driving arrest, three arrests for driving without a valid license or driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license, issued 17 seat belt citations, three speeding citations and 11 other various citations during their Thanksgiving Holiday Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over/Click It or Ticket crackdown on drunk drivers and seat belt law violators, according to a news release from the River Forest Police Department.

"Law enforcement agencies throughout Illinois participated in out statewide effort to get drunk drivers off our roadways and encourage seat belt use, especially during late-night hours," the release reads.

"Extra emphasis was given to the late-night hours when statistics show the highest number of motorists drink and drive and the fewest buckle up."
