Shoes, Bikes Lifted: River Forest Police Blotter

Wallets and food also stolen, among other reported crimes.

The following items are taken from River Forest Police Department daily incident reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

BURGLARY An iPod was stolen Oct. 5 from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Gale Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT Bobby Davis, 23, was charged with retail theft Oct. 6 after he was caught stealing $59 worth of food items from Whole Foods Market, 7245 Lake St., police said.

BURGLARY A yellow and red bicycle Pacific mountain bike, along with $2 in quarters, was reported stolen in an Oct. 7 break-in to a garage in the 1500 block of Ashland Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT Two pairs of Skechers shoes valued at a combined $79.99 were stolen during an Oct. 8 retail theft at Men's Wearhouse, 7203 Lake St.

BIKE THEFT A black Schwinn mountain bike was stolen Oct. 8 from a bike rack outside Roosevelt Middle School, 7560 Oak Ave.

THEFT A wallet containing identification and credit cards was stolen Oct. 9 from Chase Bank, 630 Harlem Ave.

DUI CHARGE Alberto G. Flores, 52, 1429 S. 49th Ave. in Cicero, was charged with drunken driving and three counts of endangering the life of a child Oct. 10, police said.

THEFT A Prada purse containing a wallet with credit cards was stolen from a southbound PACE bus Oct. 11.

THEFT Halloween decorations were stolen Oct. 11 from the 600 block of Park Avenue.
