Retail Theft

One man has been charged with felony retail theft and a second remains at large after they hid over-the-counter medication in their coats and fled Jewel-Osco, 7525 Lake St., police said. Dino E. Conner, 47, of Chicago was apprehended after he ran back to the store, discarded the goods valued at $301.29 and then fled on foot north on Monroe Street, where was captured by officers who responded to the scene. The second suspect struggled with Jewel security guards and then fled east on Lake Street. Connor was held pending a bond hearing.

Retail Theft

Steven B. Wilbourn, 50, of Chicago was charged with felony retail theft after he was caught with $343.56 worth of body care products from Jewel-Osco, 7525 Lake St., police said. Employees told police that a man carrying a backpack set off the anti-theft security system when he fled the store. Several minutes later a man matching his description, broadcast to neighboring departments, was picked up by an Oak Park police officer in the 7300 block of Central Avenue, police said. He was held for a morning bond hearing.
