AUG. 20

Bike Theft

A champagne-colored “Bayside 2K” bicycle was stolen from an open garage in the 700 block of Kenilworth Avenue.

Theft From Motor Vehicle

Two car batteries were stolen from a truck parked in the 500 block of Madison Street. Estimated loss was $60.

Criminal Damage to Property

A chain link fence in the backyard of a home in the 800 block of South Taylor Avenue was broken, causing about $50 in damage.

Theft

A double stroller valued at $650 was stolen from a stairwell inside a building in the 600 block of Washington Boulevard.

Theft

The spare tire of a 2012 Toyota Rav4 was stolen while parked in the 1100 block of South Humphrey Avenue.

AUG. 22

Garage Burglary

A grey “Giant Iguana” and lock were stolen from an open garage in the 700 block of South Grove Avenue.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

A blue wallet containing cards was stolen from an unlocked Volkswagen Jetta parked in the 300 block of West Adams Street.

An iPhone was stolen from a Chicago resident while in the 200 block of North Scoville Avenue, when an offender grabbed the phone and ran into a waiting four-door sedan parked in the 300 block of North East Avenue/

AUG. 22-23

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

A purse was stolen during a smash-and-grab burglary to a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of South Thomas Avenue. Estimated loss was $300.

Bike Theft

A dark grey “U-District Torker” was stolen from the Avenue Parking Garage in the 700 block of North Boulevard. Estimated loss was $275.

AUG. 23

Thefts

An iPhone was stolen from a Chicago resident while in the 0-100 block of Division Street

About $100 was stolen from the counter at Dunkin’ Donuts, 217 Madison St.

A bike locked to a rack in the 1100 block of South Boulevard was stolen when the cable lock was cut. Estimated loss was $105.

AUG. 24

Soliciting in the Roadway

Kristi Best, 36, of Romeoville, was charged with soliciting in the roadway while at Interstate 290 ramps at Austin Boulevard, police said.

Garage Burglary

An electric scooter and power tools valued at a combined $780 from an open garage in the 800 block of North Taylor Avenue.

AUG. 22-25

Catalytic Converter Thefts

A catalytic converter was cut from underneath a Jeep SUV parked in the 400 block fo South Humphrey Avenue. Estimated loss was $1,500.

The catalytic converter of a Mitsubishi parked in the parking lot of West Suburban Medical Center, 3 Erie Court, was stolen. Estimated loss was $1,000.

A third was stolen from a vehicle parked in a lot in the 500 block of South Boulevard.

AUG. 25

Theft

An iPhone was stolen from a service counter at Volvo of Oak Park, 1140 Garfield St.

A motorized kid’s car and bicycle were stolen from the rear area of an apartment in the 100 block of Madison Street. Loss was estimated at $700.

AUG. 25-26

Residential Burglary

A 43’’ plasma television valued at $1,000 was stolen from a residence in the 1400 block of North Harlem Avenue.
