UPS Packages Swiped, Audi Stolen From Garage - Oak Park Police Blotter

More car break-ins reported, copper planters stolen and an Audi boosted from a garage.

THEFT A wallet containing cash, identification cards and credit cards was stolen Sept. 28 from a locked locker inside the Fitness Formula Club, 1114 Lake St.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY A flat-screen television valued at $600 was stolen Sept. 28 from a home in the 800 block of Fair Oaks Avenue.

BURGLARY ARREST Floyd Jacobs, 57, 4058 W. Hirsch St. in Chicago, was charged Sept. 28 in connection with a garage burglary that took place in the 1000 block of South Austin Boulevard, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY Anthony Dapkus, 28, 10236 S. Morgan St. in Chicago, was charged with domestic battery Sept. 29 for his involvement in a fight in the 1100 block of North Harvey Avenue, police said.

THEFT Copper planters were swiped Sept. 29 from outside the Buzz Cafe,  905 S. Lombard Ave.

VEHICLE THEFT A black 2009 Audi A4 valued at $29,000, license plate B744522, was stolen during a Sept. 29 break-in to a garage in the 1000 block of North Humphrey Avenue.

BURGLARY An in-dash DVD system valued at $1,500 was stolen Sept. 29 from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of North Lombard Avenue.

BURGLARY A GPS navigation device valued at $300 was stolen during the burglary of a car parked in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard about Sept. 29.

VEHICLE THEFT A silver 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, valued at $19,000 and rented Aug. 28, was never returned to Budget car rental, 414 Madison St.

DRUG POSSESSION Gregory Mammel, 23, of Des Plaines, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the 400 block of Clinton Street. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY An Xbox video game console, a wristwatch and cash valued at a combined $455 were stolen Sept. 29 during a residential burglary in the 800 block of South Austin Boulevard.

THEFT Two delivery packages containing merchandise valued at $35 were stolen Sept. 27 from outside a home in the 900 block of South Grove Avenue.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE Windows of a home in the 300 block of North Maple Avenue were shot out by an air gun on Sept. 29, causing abut $2,000 in damage.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE The paint of a vehicle parked in the 50 block of Superior Street was scratched on Sept. 30, causing about $2,000 in damage.

BURGLARY A GPS navigation device valued at $400 was stolen Sept. 24 from a black 2008 Ford parked in the 100 block of North Humphrey Avenue.

BURGLARY A power generator valued at $1,500 was stolen from an open garage in the 1000 block of South Highland Avenue.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE Wet cement outside the 9 and 10 block of Harrison Street was damaged Sept. 30.
