Violin Stolen From Classroom, Burglaries Reported in Oak Park: Police

Monday, December 9

Burglary on South Boulevard

Someone broke a window to enter a home in the 800 block of South Boulevard and stole a laptop between 2 p.m. Dec. 8 and 9:30 a.m. Dec. 9. The estimated loss is unknown, police said. 

Burglary on Lake Street

Someone used a pry tool to break into a home in the 900 block of West Lake Street, ransacked the interior and stole a laptop, an iPod, a cell phone and jewelry between 8:30 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. The total estimated loss is $1,050, police said. 

iPhone Stolen From Locker at OPRFHS

Someone stole an iPhone from an unsecured locker at Oak Park and River Forest High School between 2:30 and 3 p.m. The total estimated loss is $325, police said. 
Two men were seen on video surveillance damaging the ticket pay station in the Holley Court parking garage in the 900 block of Lake Street around 8 p.m. The estimated cost of damage is $1,500, police said. 

Friday, December 6

Violin Stolen From Classroom

Someone stole a violin from a classroom at Mann Elementary School between 9 a.m. Nov. 22 and 9 a.m. Dec. 6. The total estimated loss is $1,200, police said. 

Friday, November 29

Suspended License

Forest Park police charged DeAngilo Allen, 25, of Forest Park, with driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop in the 800 block of Harlem Avenue around 2 p.m. He was given a Jan. 14 court date and released. 

Drug Paraphernalia

Forest Park police charged Steven Cieslinski, 26, of Rosemont, with possession of drug paraphernalia at a Thornton's gas station in the 600 block of Harlem Avenue around 2:45 p.m. Police said the man Cieslinski had a heroin cooker in his pocket. He was given a Jan. 8 court date and released. 

Suspended License

Forest Park police charged Yolanda Green, 44, of Chicago, with driving on a suspended license and suspended registration during a traffic stop in the 900 block of Harlem Avenue around 3 p.m. She was given a Jan. 14 court date and released. 

Warrant: Suspended License

Forest Park police charged Carmen Billips, 36, of Maywood, with a warrant out of DuPage County for driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Garfield Street in Oak Park around 3:50 p.m.
